Welcome to the Old Market Tavern on the up-and-coming East side of Bristol City Centre. Your hosts are Chris Farrell and Graham Middleton whose aim is to make your visit both pleasurable and relaxing. This is the traditional pub par excellence, strong on service, friendly and welcoming.

When it comes to atmosphere, plenty of pubs can claim to have some, but the Old Market Tavern has atmosphere in spades. You can feel it, see it, even taste it. From the beautiful seasoned wood interior, reclaimed from an old church, to the quality of our draught ales and beers, to the well-established beer garden with its hanging baskets and troughs of flowers, to the conservatory and the well-balanced lunch menu, we hope to offer you all the best of the traditional city pub.

Chris and Graham acquired this Wadworth
pub at the end of May 2005 and have worked hard to make it one of the gems
of Old Market Street. In the cosy wood-pannelled interior or the summery beer
garden you can enjoy a relaxing drink from an excellent range of real ales,
premium lagers, well-chosen wine and spirits. The OMT is an ideal place to
hold informal meetings – and we are happy to discuss bookings for private parties
and special events throughout the year.
Lunch bookings can be made on-line (see the reservations icon below), by phone or in person, and our menu contains many homemade dishes as well as daily specials and a good range of traditional favourites. On Sundays we have a choice of traditional homecooked roasts (with a vegetarian alternative always available) which are very popular, so it's best to book in advance (use the online system below).
We hope there's something for everyone at the Old Market Tavern and Chris and the team here look forward to welcoming you very soon!
